It seems that every month that cell phone makers and service providers are rolling out new mobiles for consumers to clamor over.
Personal communications is the hottest retail market today besides, food, clothes, and flat screen displays, and automobiles. People usually have to wait two years to upgrade their phones to the latest offerings but many will pay the retail premium just for the privilege of having innovative technology in their hands. Of course, the majority of this fervor is produced by marketing companies that are laser focused on high school, and college aged individuals.
Every cell phone manufacture is constantly trying out do their rivals to gain market share, and Samsung new mobiles are usually at the top of the list for pulling off ground breaking new features, that many youths must have in their hot little hands the day it is available at a local cell phone reseller. As mobiles become more advanced the need for other personal gadgetry is no longer desirable. As you have seen in the last several years where the digital camera and digital video recorders have been encapsulated in the structure of personal cell phones, and more features are being engineered constantly to add even more value.
The new mobiles 2010 has offered up has seen the smart phones evolve even farther with larger, and crisp displays that fend off scratches more readily, and the advent of the 4G network has improved overall speed, and operational performance of a very large base of cell clients. Streaming video has become more fluid, and you can thank the improved CPU speeds, video graphics chips, and massive amounts of memory being stuffed into those handheld miracles. No less than 147 models of new cell mobiles were either introduced or had updated models released in 2010, the number is probably much higher, as not all models will be available globally.
Not to be left out Sony Ericsson new mobiles have released 11 new models or new versions in the last several months. Models like the Yendo, Cedar, Aspen, Xperia X2, Kiki, and Hazel to name just a smattering. They know to succeed in this highly spirited market that they have to appeal to all age groups, income levels, and of course the tech-savvy nerds that want the most possible out of their cell. The namesake Walkman is still alive and well and is on its thirteenth revision since the title was passed on from personal music gear to its final resting place on mobile phones.
The new mobiles coming soon are going to be earth shattering as technology engineers reduce the needed size for memory, and processors. Look for such features on phones in the future that will be able measure blood alcohol content, and perform basic human medical metrics like pulse, blood pressure, and temperature. The really big innovation will be when personal radar will be available in a handheld mobile. This will be one of the largest additions that personal electronics has seen since the cell phone itself. The advent of replacing the notebook or personal computer is just starting to peek over the horizon as well.
Especially kids do not look at the over all cost of the new mobile phones when they purchase one. The sheer amount of accessories, apps, music, videos, and leather or rubber cases adds quite a bit more to the final bill when looked at closely. Sadly, the entire cell market will never converge on a standard where all smart phones will use the same AC or mobile chargers. Plus the need to be unique and include value with these units for the cell carriers to get a leg up on their opposition will always keep accessories separated, and mildly expensive.
